The fourth edition of the MECA Project (Multilanguages of the Creative Economy of the Amazon) will have another night of activities this Friday (21), at Parque da
Residence, in Belém. Promoted by Sebrae in Pará, Sescoop and Senar Pará, the creative economy fair, one of the arms of the event, will run from 5 pm to 10 pm,
with free entry on both days, and will bring together entrepreneurs from Pará who produce handicrafts, ceramics and fashion pieces, as well as products from the rich
gastronomy of Pará.

“We have reached the fourth edition, so MECA has already established itself as one of the major events on Belém’s cultural agenda, promoting entrepreneurship, art and music from Pará. In this first edition of the year, we will be showcasing products from a wide range of segments at the creative economy fair,” highlights Rubens Magno, managing director of Sebrae/PA.

Creative Economy - In this fourth edition, Sebrae/PA opened space for 16 bioeconomy, fashion and accessories ventures, in addition to five entrepreneurs from the food and beverage segment, who will exhibit products from the rich gastronomy of Pará in the outdoor area of Parque da Residência. MECA, as highlighted by Sebrae, is an opportunity for small entrepreneurs to present their products, exchange ideas with the public, network and prospect future opportunities.
business.

“It's my first time at MECA, so I'll be bringing dolls made of amigurumi (knitting or crochet) based on Amazonian legends like curupira, but I'll also be presenting micro crochet pieces to the public, which will be accessories like earrings and bracelets,” says artisan Silvia Valente.

Musical Soiree As in previous editions, MECA aims to bring entrepreneurship and music to the public of Pará. On Thursday (20), Arthur Spíndola hosted a talk show with musicians from the pagode band Nosso Tom from Pará. This Friday (21), Arthur will welcome singer Beto Guedes to the stage, also starting at 8 pm, where he will interact with the artist and recall great successes on stage. In addition to the attractions in the theater, MECA will also have outdoor music, with free performances in the square of Parque da Residência, with Juliana Sinimbu this Friday, starting at 5:30 pm.

“It is an opportunity for merchants to sell during a cultural event. And this is great, as it brings the public closer to brands and ideas from Pará and encourages these
microentrepreneurs in Pará to not only sell, but to promote their products, strengthen their brands and expand their network of contacts”, he observes
Arthur Espíndola, one of the event's creators.
