The first stage of online training offered by Amazon Wellness Institute to communication professionals registered on the Amazônia Vox platform also included the selection of five participants to receive a full scholarship for a semester of English, offered by Upper School of Languages.
In total, there were almost 200 people registered for the online training, out of a total of more than 450 freelance professionals registered on the platform until December 2023. From the training participants, five professionals were selected, meeting the criteria of attendance at the sessions, territorial diversity among the Amazon States and ethnic diversity.
The five professionals will now define, together with Upper coordinator Daiana Ramos, the best time for the weekly classes, which will be 100% online. The content covered will include vocabulary with a greater focus on concepts that are worked on in topics such as the environment and climate change, already aiming at preparation for COP 30, the Conference of the Parties of the United Nations (UN), which will be held for the first time in the Amazon, in Belém, capital of Pará.
